On the Sunday of the beginning of the Great Lent is called “Forgiveness Sunday” because on that day in the Liturgy we read from the New testament about the forgiveness of the sins:

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

And this is why on this day everyone is obliged to forgive the sins of every person. (more…)
