On Saturday eve,14.04.2012/15.04.2012, the last day of the Great Lent, at the monastery of St. Prohor Pchinski the resurrection of Christ was celebrated and the faithful received the Body and Blood of Christ. After the liturgy everyone got together and marked the end of the Lent with the dinner of love.
You have said, O Lord: “Without me there’s nothing you can do”, so help us and finish Thyself this work started by us, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen!
These were the words that repeatedly sounded in the hearts of the youth of the Macedonian Orthodox Community in Australia, while preparing the fifth jubilee youth seminar, which again this year traditionally was held on monastic grounds, in the monastery of St. Prohor Pcinski in Donnybrook on Saturday 10th September. This is the fifth year in a row that the donatory dinner was held, organized by the monastery St. Prohor Pchinski and Beti Kotevska from the phone company “Astron”. At the dinner $16.000 were collected for the building of the monastery.
The donating dinner was blessed and greeted by His Eminence Mitropolitan Petar. (more…)
