Christ, You are Life, and they placed You in a tomb!

On Friday evening, the faithful gathered at the St Prohor Pcinski Monastery to partake in the holy service devoted to the mourning of Christ’s death.

Abbot Gavril alongside the youth choir, who sung sweet and memorably, served a beautiful service. It lasted for three hours and began with the circling of the church and singing of the Thrice Holy Hymn. It continued with the singing of the Three Stasis in which we mourn the death of our Life Giver and Lord Jesus Christ. At the end, Abbot Gavril preached that we, the Orthodox Christians, should appropriately welcome the Resurrection of Christ.
