With the blessing from His Eminence Bishop Petar, at the monastery of Saint Prohor Pchinski, a 2^nd annual seminar was organised by MOYA on the weekend of the 12^th – 14^th of September.

Over the 3 days, the youth were involved in several activities that reflected the togetherness and spirituality of our Diocese. A teaching was held on the topic of The Cross of Jesus - the spring of our salvation where our Bishop Petar spoke directly to the youth and the rest of the guests. Also, Abbott Father Gavril gave a reading in reference to The Cross of Jesus through the 3 stages of spiritual life. Father Gligor and Sister Virginia from the Antioch Orthodox Church also gave their own teaching in accordance to the topic. At the end of the teaching, Bishop Petar encouraged everyone to put their questions forward for him to answer.

On the Saturday, the Liturgy was served by our Eminence Bishop Petar accompanied by the youth choir of St Prohor Pchinski where the attending took part in the Holy Mysteries of the Blood and Body of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In the teaching Bishop Peter emphasized, “The most important commandment is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”  (Mark 12:30) and through the example of the humble obedience in front of your brothers, a man can be cleansed of his sins, save himself and inherit the Heavenly Kingdom, and not like the Pharisee, for whom it is said, listen to them but don’t act according to their deeds. Once the Liturgy was served, Abbot father Gavril showed Bishop Petar the progress on the construction of the monastery whilst asking for his blessing and suggestions.

A Holy Divine Liturgy was also served on Sunday by Abbot Father Gavril in remembrance of The Holy Martyr Mammas. After the Liturgy, the group alongside Abbot father Gavril went on a day trip to the beautiful Botanical gardens.

Many of the guests donated the meals provided which consisted of some traditional Macedonian foods and beverages such as beans, burek, boza… On Saturday evening after dinner, Abbot father Gavril and the youth gathered to view a documentary about Macedonian monasteries. The evening ended with an interesting and spiritual sinaxis where Father Gavril expressed the importance of forgiveness. He mentioned that in order for our sins to be forgiven, we must first forgive the sins of others, as said in the prayer ‘Our Father,’ “…and forgive us our trespassers, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

In its entirety, the seminar brought forth the true meaning of spiritual unity through love and prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ.

II Pravoslaven Mladinski Seminar - Krstot Hristov

So Blagoslov od negovoto Visokopreosve{tenstvo - g.Petar, vo manastirot na Sv.Prohor P~inski, od 12ti do 14ti septemvri, mladinskata pravosalvna organizacija pri Eparhijata, i ova godina, vtora po red, organizira{e seminar. Vo tekot od 3 dena, mladite bea vklu~eni vo nekoliku aktivnosti koi gi reflektiraa zaednicata i duhovnosta na mladinata na na{ata Eparhija. Predavaweto koe se odr`a be{e na temata – Krstot Hrsitov izvorot na na{eto spasenie, pri {to, na{iot Vladika g.Petar neposredno im se obrati na mladite i ostanatite gosti. Igumenot otec Gavril zbora{e za krstot od asketsko-isihasti~ki aspekt - Krstot preku trite stepeni na duhovniot `ivot. Isto taka, otec Gligor i sestra Virxinia od Antiohiskata Pravoslavna Crkva, oddr`aa govor na istata tema. Na krajot na predavaweto, sekoj mo`e{e da dobie odgovor na svoite nedoumici od strana na vladikata.

Vo sabotata, Negovoto Viskopreosve{tenstvo g.Petar, otslu`i Bo`estvena Liturgija vo pridru`ba na mladenskiot hor, pri {to prisutnite se pri~estija so svetata Tajna Evharistija, odnosno so Krvta i Teloto na na{iot Gospod i Spasitel Isus Hristos. Na besedata Vladikata istakna deka vistinskoto slu`ewe na Boga pred s# e ‘da go vozqubime Gospoda Boga so seto svoe srce i so seta svoja du{a, i so siot svoj razum, i so sveta svoja sila!’ (Marko 12:30) i preku primerot na mirenieto, koj ni go poka`a na{iot Spasitel Gospod Isus Hristos, vo slu`enje, vo poniznost i pokornost pred bra}ata svoi, ~ovekekot mo`e da se o~isti od svoite grevovi, da se spasi i da go nasledi Carstvoto Bo`jo, a ne kako fariseite, za koi se veli toa da gi slu{ame {to velat, no spored delata nivni da ne postapuvame. Posle Liturgijata, otec Gavril mu go poka`a na dedo Petar tekot na gradbata na manastirot i bara{e soveti i blagoslov za ponatamo{nata rabota.

Vo nedelata, na denot na spomenot na sv. m~. Mamont, Liturgijata ja otslu`i otec Gavril, a vedna{ posle zavr{uvaweto na bogoslu`bata, zaedno so mladite, zaminaa na pro{etka niz Botani~kata Gradina vo Melburn.

Mnogumina od gostite doniraa hrana, pred s#, tradicionalna makedonska: grav, burek, boza… Vo sabota nave~er, Otec Gavril i mladinata se sobraa i gledaa dokumentaren film za Makedonskite manastiri. Ve~erta se zavr{i so interesen duhoven sinaksis, na koj Otec Gavril ja potencira{e va`nosta od prostuvaweto. Toj spomena deka za da ni se prostat grevovite, treba nie prvo da im gi prostime grevovite na drugite, kako {to e re~eno vo molitvata “Ot~e na{“: … I prosti ni gi grevovite, kako {to im gi pro{tevame i nie na na{ite dol`nici…

Vo celina, seminarot mnogu doprinese za pravoto zna~ewe na duhovna zaednica preku qubov i molitva kon na{iot Gospod Isus Hristos.
