The Church-building committee of the Macedonian Orthodox - Cathedral Church “Holy Mother of God” in Sydenham – Melbourne , with the highest of respect would like to address all off you and would like to propose the following:

A P P E A L

 

Brothers and Sisters, children of God. - As you may know, in the last few years the Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral Church “Holy Mother of God” in Sydenham has been built very rapidly and is now in its final stages of completion.

 

The Domes are currently being built, which half have already been finished and with this the external part of the church will be completed.

The internal part of the Church needs to be: -  plastered; -  and the flooring needs to be fitted with marble. Also the crosses need to be fitted onto the domes. The doors also need to be fitted and have at least one chandelier installed, so that the church may be able to function after the conduction of   The  Ceremony  Small Blessing.

 

The Icons and (the Iconostas) - the wall which the Icons will be mounted on are also made from marble in R Macedonia and once they are paid for they will be sent to Melbourne .

 

The great interested that is being expressed within the Macedonian orthodox people, especially the youth, who are interested in fulfilling their religious needs in the Cathedral Church, obliges not only us the Committee, but together with everybody else to organize ourself on all fronts, being: Financial, Material and Moral assistance in completing the building of the Cathedral Church, so that we will be able to begin with the Church services there, and to rejoice in this sacred act, blessed buy God.

So that we will be able to complete all this jobs as soon as possible we will need more financial assistance.

 

This is why; with this  APPEAL  we are addressing you, your society associations and businesses  in asking for financial assistance from you in accordance to you ability to help.

 

For your financial assistance you will be issued with a tax invoice that you will be able to claim in your tax return at the end of the financial year.
