On the Sunday of the Publican and Pharisee, at the monastery of St. Prohor Pchinski, a Holy Liturgy was served.  As we enter the preparatory period of Great Lent, we remember the gospel lesson about the Publican and Pharisee.

On the day of the Theophany of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the abbot of the monastery of St.Prohor Pchinski – father Gavril, served a Holy Festive Liturgy. After that was done the traditional custom of throwing the cross into the water and the lucky one who got it was Benjamin Shinikovski.

At the monastery of St. Prohor Pcinski, The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated with Holy Divine Liturgy, on which the faithful received the Holy Body and Blood of Christ. After the Liturgy, the faithful celebrated the feast with table of love, too, where the spiritual discussion continued.
