About the Saints Peter and Paul fast
Each day is blessed by our Lord, especially the fasting days which help to increase our spiritual awakeness and our attention over the heart and its cleaning of the passions.

Each day is blessed by our Lord, especially the fasting days which help to increase our spiritual awakeness and our attention over the heart and its cleaning of the passions.
In this part from the Holy Scripture we shall focus on two verses, that essentially are one, in our recognition of God as our Father, our salvation and deification.
“Father, it came the voice: Glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee.
On 16.05.2010 in the monastery of Saint Prohor Pchinski, the abbot, father Gavril served Holy Liturgy in honor of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council and Saint Apostles Carp and Alpheus and the Saint New-martyr Alexander of Thessalonica, where the faithful people took part in the Holy Eucharist.
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Today we celebrate the event Ascension of Christ in heaven. [The feast of the Lord Ascension – is the day when LORD ascended in the heaven (Acts. 1, 1-12; MK. 16, 12-19, LK. 24, 50-52)]. […]
Thou hast ascended in glory,
O Christ our God,
bringing joy to Thy disciples,
for Thou didst reassure them
through Thy blessing
of the promise of the Holy Spirit.
For Thou art the Son of God,
the redeemer of the world.
On the Sunday of the Blind Man, in the monastery of Saint Prohor Pchinski, when the memory of the Hieromartyr Basil, Bishop of Amasea; Saint Stephen the Bishop of Perm, was also celebrated, Father Gavril served a Holy Divine Liturgy, on which the faithful received the holy and savior Mysteries of Christ.
Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark
Mark was a traveling companion and assistant to the Apostle Peter who, in his first epistle calls him his son, “The chosen one at Babylon sends you his greeting as does Mark, my son” (1 Peter 5:13), not according to the flesh but a son according to the spirit. […]
You were bound for good deeds, O martyr of Christ: George;
by faith you conquered the torturer’s godlessness.
You were offered as a sacrifice pleasing to God;
thus you received the crown of victory.
Through your intercessions, forgiveness of sins is granted to all.
With Blessing From His Eminence Bishop Petar
